I have a website targeted at world of warcraft (mmo gaming) market, will blocking IE6 users be a huge problem?

Basically me and my brother are very limited on HTML/PHP & CSS skill’s but we have tried to put together a website from scratch using no CMS or anything like that but ground up work to build a website to interest world of warcraft gamers in reading to view guides to easily make gold using there in-game skill/professions. While a lot of existing website’s have massive spam of ad’s/popups and strange things asking for money ours i entirely free with only 2 row’s of ads on each page (top and bottom) and no annoying ads or anything. The issue is with all the javascript/ajax and CSS after testing it it works fine in IE7, IE8, Firefox 2 & 3 (latest) & Google Chrome but for IE6 it does some very strange thing’s so I’ve blocked IE users from been able to view the website leaving them a message that there browser is out of date if they do try. Will this impact/effect a big area of traffic for us?
Also the website is in beta accessible at http://www.loadwow.com/
Also when I said blocked IE user’s I meant only Internet Explorer 6 user’s everyone else can view it.
Rebel Revival: Well you see, I figured that World of Warcraft is in the range of high end gaming so if there computer is running the game, surely they would have at least IE 7 or Firefox 3 Right?

I would say no. A better Way to do it would be to say.

"Your Browser is outdated Please upgrade too:

IE7+ (Give link)
or
Mozilla (Firefox)
or
Google Chrome (give link)
"

That way anyone who is outdated wont have to search to find what they need. Make it as easy as possible because people are lazy and its very easy to just find another website they can view.

But your comment about WoW being in high range gaming i disagree. Crisis is high range gaming. I can play WoW on my computer i bought over five years ago fine.

No It shouldn’t Be a huge issue. Most people already have IE 7 or above. However there are still those few people out there using dinosaur computers that won’t let them get higher than IE 6, of course they could always use Mozilla.
