I’m thinking of creating a website targeted toward people in their late teens and twenties focused on cheap food, containing reviews of Ramen, potted meat, and other low-cost eats. Is this a good idea? What sort of traffic do you think I’d have after a year if I updated every day?

The idea is good, but the hit-rate won’t be much…
Unless the website becomes really good and popular, don’t expect a lot of visitors.

You can make this be one of several services on the website…
Or even, make a general nutrition and health website, and this could be a sub-link for low cost food

But if you plan to stick with your idea as is w/o modification, then maybe add the food nutrition (calories, etc). This would be pretty useful.
